For sale; a 12" vinyl copy of the Stone Roses' 1989 single 'I Wanna Be Adored'. This is the US import version, with two versions of the title track on the A-Side and 'Going Down' and 'Simone' on the B-Side. The record labels feature the familiar Silvertone logo, but the sleeve notes 'Manufactured and distributed by RCA Records, a label of BMG Music, New York, N.Y. Printed in USA (Photo 10).
The record has survived three decades remarkably well. There is some minor corner-wear and some light creasing to the spine, but aside from that the sleeve is in very good condition as pictured. The inner sleeve has a few small creases. The vinyl is in excellent condition; clean and bright on both sides with hardly any signs of wear. All tracks play without skipping, and with minimal surface noise. Please note that the record plays at 33 1/3 rpm, not 45 rpm! It was probably only ever played a handful of times, since I used to record all my singles onto tape for convenience of listening; much easier than lugging a midi-system back and forth to college! It was likely bought in Penny Lane Records in Chester, or possibly in Loughborough's late, lamented Left-Legged Pineapple.... thirty years is a long time, and my memories of the late '80s grow dim....
