Beatles 1st Press UK White Album Apple PCS-7067-8 Top Loader Very Nice!

Offered here is an excellent conditioned first UK stereo pressing of The Beatles (The White Album). Number – No. 0560607.

Disc 1 has the missing “An E.M.I. Recording” on both side 1 and side 2 labels. The error was almost instantly corrected, making this very early pressing.

Disc 2 has the corrected side 1 and side 2 labels adding the “An E.M.I. Recording” text.

The cover, four photos, poster and black inner sleeves will be in a resealable Japanese polypropylene sleeve.

The records will come to the purchaser in white paper inner sleeves with archival polypropylene lining, placed in glossy white poster board double gate fold jacket with two interior holes.

COVER

Overall a beautiful conditioned very clean first issue top loading cover, No. 0560607. Still retains its high gloss laminated sheen. There are no seam splits, tears or missing paper. The openings show very little of their 52 years of age and only above where the lamination ends. There are small pushes to the bottom corners. All spine text is present and readable with only the smallest amount of missing laminate at the very bottom. There is evidence of minor handling and age toning. A very well cared for record jacket.

RECORD 1 (NO “An E.M.I. Recording” both sides)

Side 1  -  XEX 709-1    1    RD

Side 2  -  XEX 710-1    2    GL

CONDITION -

Still sounds dynamic with nice bass and crisp highs. Crackle and an occasional pop only evident in lower passages and between tracks.

Multiple superficial abrasions, most being a result of removing and inserting record into the original inexplicably abrasive original first issue inner sleeves.

Nothing feelable or causing needle to skip or hang. A good pro cleaning would improve the sound.

RECORD 2 (WITH “An E.M.I. Recording” both sides)

Side 3  -  XEX 711-1    2    AOG

Side 4  -  XEX 712-1    1    GAO

INNER SLEEVES

Remarkable condition considering their age and purpose. Only two small seam splits between the two, one 1” bottom split on one sleeve and one ½” side split on the other. No paper loss at all. Both sleeves have 1” folds and small tears at the bottom of the openings from disc insertions (see image).
