This is the bluegrass album that arguably changed the direction of the music in the mid-1970’s. This is an original vinyl album of J.D. Crowe & The New South, also famously known by its Rounder 0044 number, from 1975, featuring Tony Rice, Ricky Skaggs, Jerry Douglas, and Bobby Slone. It is a very rare first edition copy of the album with the famous picture of J.D. “flipping the bird” on the cover (an accident on his part!).
To add to the rarity of this album, it has been hand-signed in black Sharpie on the front by Mr. Crowe himself! This was autographed by J. D. prior to his retirement from extensive touring.
The album cover and the vinyl record are in good condition for their age and previous use. The wear on the album cover, overall, does not detract from the autograph on the front cover.
