This record has historic importance, as it was the very first Charisma LP, released independently in 1970 by Tony Stratton-Smith when he could not find a major company to sign the English group Van der Graaf Generator.
Thus, we see here the debut of the rare & collectible original 'pink-scroll' Charisma label (which was only used for 2 years until the creation of Sir John Tenniel's famous 'Mad Hatter' design that music fans first saw in 1972).
The item you're looking at here contains the second (approved) mix, not the rejected one, and is also not one of the first thousand-or-so copies produced, which contained a poster insert.  Independent manufacture and distribution also (by B&C Records) at this time.
This record was given to me as a young teenager in 1970, and I had not yet developed the obsessive care that I later took of my precious vinyl.  So you'll find surface marks on the disc that cause some noise while playing, but nothing major (see close-up photos here).
Outer sleeve also has much evidence of use & handling, but only real damage is to the spine, where the disc wore-through over time, since the paper used was not very sturdy and was not laminated when it was produced.

There are 2 completely different mixes of this album, the first of which was withdrawn soon after release. They are discernable only by scrutinizing the run-out groove.
The first ''withdrawn'' mix has no "G" in the run-out.
This item is the approved mix, with ''G'' in runout.
