Whiplash Smile is the third studio album by English rock singer Billy Idol, released on 20 October 1986 by Chrysalis Records. After his successful album Rebel Yell (1983), Idol continued his collaboration with Keith Forsey and Steve Stevens while writing and producing songs for the album.

Commercially the album noted a success similar to his previous album. It peaked Charts in many countries, such as Australia, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, and Switzerland. Whiplash Smile was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and has sold more than two million copies worldwide. Three singles were released from the album, "To Be a Lover", "Don't Need a Gun" and "Sweet Sixteen" with "Soul Standing By" released as a single only in Australia and New Zealand. LP housed in hype stickered picture jacket with inner picture sleeve in excellent condition – with vinyl LP with custom labels showing a couple of faint marks in excellent (minus) condition - Chrysalis – RML 53178

The record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The sleeve and any extra items are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX)

The record shows signs of having been played but there is negligible loss in sound quality. The sleeve may have slight wear or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG)

The record has been played many times but shows no significant deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks. Sleeve has normal wear and tear without any major defects.

GOOD (G)

The record has been played enough that the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably and may have pops and skips. The sleeve may suffer from scuffs, spine splits, ring wear and/or discolouration.

CONDITION: This item is in excellent or mint condition unless stated above.
