ASCAP)   Imagine yourself strapped into one of those vibrating exercise machines that makes you shake uncontrollably like a bowl of Jello, flesh aqulver. Now, imagine that a demon inside the machine has accelerated the belt and you can't slow it down, let alone stop it. Get the idea? That's the feeling you get when Suzi Quatro rock and rolls you with this action-packed collection of eleven hot and heavy non-stop tunes. Suzi Ouatro's got the demon Rock And Roll inside her and it won't let her go. Start with “Can The Can”, her first hit single sold over two million copies around the world, and as soon as you hear it you'll understand why. That, and "48 Crash," her second monster hit single developed by Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman, who also produced this album. The Suzi Quatro sound, as developed by Suzi, her group and her producers has turned her into an international superstar, with Quatro cults springing up in every corner of the globe. Suzi has been making her home in London for the past few years, but she was born and raised in Detroll, the world capital of rock and roll. She was weaned on Motown and Mitch Ryder, and formed her first professional group - Suzi Soul & The Pleasure Seekers - when she was just fifteen, in 1965. The group evolved into Cradie, and as they developed the Detroit rock and roll scene grew to worldwide prominence, bringing talent scouts by the score into the Motor City.  England’s legendary hitmaker Mickie Most saw Suzi in 1971 (in Cradie) and immediately took her back to England to make her a star, which he certainly has done, as you can tell from this album.  She's got a tough bunch of musicians working with her, and together they breathe sensual new life into such rock classics as “All Shook Up”. “Shakin All Over.” Her version of "I Wanna Be Your Man” will make you forget that the Beatles wrote it for the Rolling Stones. Yet, Suzi Quatro is not a rock and roll revival because rock and roll was never gone. It's been defined, refined and perfected in the form of the original songs on this album, co-written by Suzi and lead guitarist Len Tuckey, This record combines the brutal, hard nosed rock and roll that Detroit has always been known for with the tight, rhythmic, almost sophisticated rock and roll that has been coming out of London in recent years. In some ways, it is an ideal assimilation of these influences, allowing Suzi Ouatro to become the first lady of rock and roll in relatively short period of time  If you are ready to rock and roll, if you've got your dancing shoes on and you've shrugged your inhibitions off, then this debut album from Suzi Quatro is for you And you, and you. and you.  TOBY B MAMIS   SUZI QUATRO BASS AND LEAD VOCALS LEN TUCKEY GUITAR, SLIDE GUITAR AND BACKING VOCALS ALASTAIR MCKENZIE ELECTRIC PIANO, GRAND PIANO MELLOTRON AND BACKING VOCALS DAVE NEAL: DRUMS AND BACKING VOCALS   Condition: The cover has a seam split across the button and over half of the top.
