The Birdland Story Vols 1-2. Coltrane etc. Vinyl 1N. Factory Sample.

Both Vols are 1N but only Vol.2 has a Factory Sample sticker.

Vinyl: Both records look to be in great condition and a quick test suggested that they play well but with background crackle. Professional clean would doubtless help. Side 1 of Vol. 2 has a small mark on band 1 but this did not seem to sound.

Sleeve:

Vol 1. Some laminate lift on front plus shelf/ring wear. Corner wear bottom front left and top right. Some foxing on reverse. Spine is good but there are 2 obvious nicks.

Vol 2. Three corner dinks. Shelf wear visible on cover. Crease on reverse top right. Light foxing. Quality control sticker. Good spine with light wear.

Inner: White, generic. Vol. 2 has brown age mottling.

The Factory Sample sticker is genuine.

I will post in poly protective sleeve and record mailer using Royal Mail. If buying from mainland Europe please ask for an invoice so that I can reduce the postage.

The records that I sell are from my dad's collection. He was an EMI salesman between the 50' s and 80's, so therefore I can guarantee the provenance of Factory Sample stickers. I tend to grade the records visually (unless there is an obvious need to listen) but will happily test play if requested. Generally I find that the older ones (late 50's / early 60's) play with an old vinyl crackle! I clean each record before selling.
