Two From Duke. Ashby. Gonsalves. Ellington. Vinyl SCX 6326.
Apparently a rare record and has been termed a "classic" by some. Adverts on inner suggest 1967/68? Looks like a reissue as original recordings were 60/61.
Vinyl: There are several light scratches on side 1, side 2 seems to be flawless. A test play suggests that the record plays well with no skips or jumps and a quiet background crackle.
Sleeve: A nice sleeve overall. Front retains its gloss but also has some ring/shelf wear including a rub mark at the foot- see pic. On the reverse the flipbacks are intact but the bottom seam one does have some creases. Very light foxing. Very good spine.
Inner: Original and intact. Flat. EMI advertising type.
I will post in poly protective sleeve and record mailer using Royal Mail. If buying from mainland Europe please ask for an invoice so that I can reduce the postage.
The records that I sell are from my dad's collection. He was an EMI salesman between the 50' s and 80's, so therefore I can guarantee the provenance of Factory Sample stickers. I tend to grade the records visually (unless there is an obvious need to listen) but will happily test play if requested. Generally I find that the older ones (late 50's / early 60's) play with an old vinyl crackle! I clean each record before selling.
International purchasers should please ask for an invoice so that I can adjust the postage accordingly.
I can post up to 4 single LPs together. Please ask for an invoice so that the postage cost can be adjusted.
