The album was produced by David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Richard Wright, with many guest musicians including Tim Renwick and Guy Pratt. The album was titled after the bell used for voting in the British House of Commons, and the cover, created by Storm Torgerson, is said to represent the conflict felt during the trial with Waters. Produced by Bob Ezrin. Mixed by Chris Thomas. Gilmore's guitar solo on "Isolation" won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental. The single cut, "Take It Back," was a smash hit. This best-selling album reached No. 1 in both the UK and the US.
