An original 2nd press here in the very 1st issue sleeve which came with the early 1st pressings - having the darker contrast half-faces and 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me' error.

Sleeve: Good condition. Has retained its original glossy finish, dark tonal contrast... is structurally sound; no tears, rips, or repairs, and no blemishes such as writing, ring-wear, or indentations.  Lies completely flat and the fold-over's are still well adhered and clean, albeit with a few small laminate creases. The front cover has several half-moon creases near the opening edge, and is looking a little worn around edges and corners but nothing major. Slightly discoloured now but overall it is OK. This is actually the very first issue type sleeve which came with the ‘Jobete’ error 1st pressings; it has the much darker tonal contrast to the half-faces and a generally grainier image. 
The Vinyl: Grades as Excellent Plus ... has retained a jet-black glossy pressing sheen all over both surfaces and looks to have been virtually never played. There are no warps, no scuffs, no needle drops, no groove wear, no scratches, and nothing I'd call hairline. The surfaces are clean and have retained their original lustre and project a strong mirror-like shine all over. Inspected closely under a strong light there are just a handful of wispy line marks which do not cause any audible detractions. The condition clearly shows the potential for outstanding audio rendition as looks hardly ever played.

Mothers & Stampers: 37 TA / 3 GOH

Inner Sleeve: Original EMI tracing liner inner sleeve in Very Good Condition with no splits. Slightly discoloured and looking a little used.

The Labels: Very Good Plus condition. A little play-wear evident to spindle perimeter but still looking pretty neat, and only a few small localised spindle line traces.  KT tax code present and still bold.

The Audio: There are no audible detractions, no discernible deviation from the original audio quality. It plays as well as likely to be possible, very clear and lucid with only the occasional tic which are only audible in a couple one or two of the silent grooves between tracks. Lucid instrumental detail with perfect mono deep bass, and clear and loud vocals. No jumps, no pops, no clicks, no skips, no background noise, no sticks etc. Consistent with the condition of the vinyl, this is a superb rendition.
