FAUST - SO FAR

A nice condition 1972 UK 1st press copy of this prog/Krautrock gem with all inserts and impressive audio quality

Year/Label :  1972 UK Polydor
Label number :   2310 196

Matrix numbers :   2310196  A//2  420  /  2310196  B//2  420
Stamper codes :  1 1 2   05  /  1  3   05
Nice thick, weighty and completely flat vinyl in very good plus (VG+) condition - a nice glossy sheen still and only with closer inspection under a good light do some very faint paper scuffs and the occasional very wispy hairline come into view - nothing below the surface, all superficial, and nothing to impinge upon the excellent sound quality.   Very good plus (VG+) condition labels - original matt labels with "black on black" lettering, some small and very faint spindle trails on each label along with a couple of very small abrasions on the side 1 label (see photo).   The non-laminated matt cardboard outer sleeve is in excellent (EX) condition - firm unscuffed edges, impressive right angled corners with minimal rubbing only, firm spine and no creasing. The all black matt heavyweight paper inner sleeve has a 1cm split in the middle of the bottom edge but is otherwise excellent; the lyrics/track listing/credits inner sleeve has some light surface creases and minor storage marks but remains nicely intact; and the all important inserts comprising x9 art paintings (one for each track) are in overall excellent condition with just the occasional light storage mark and cleanable handling/finger prints.   The quality of the STEREO sound is excellent (EX) -  no background crackle or interference at all, no clicks, and simply great tone & clarity throughout even at higher volume and on higher frequencies. These guys really knew how to push the boundaries!
A highly presentable and overall impressive condition copy of this prog/Krautrock collectable, with the complete collection of all x9 art painting inserts and excellent sound quality being real highlights.   POSTAGE COSTS :

I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the sleeve itself  to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 52 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window!
