BLUE CHEER - VINCEBUS ERUPTUM

A  little played and excellent plus condition copy of this 1968 US 1st press rock gem with outstanding sound quality

Year/Label : 1968 US PHILIPS
Label number :  STEREO PHS-600-264

Matrix numbers :  PHS600264 A - M1  /  PHS600264 B - M3
Stampers :   R 111  MR  /   R 1  MR
The gleaming and completely flat vinyl is in truly excellent plus (EX+) condition (many would grade as "near mint, I am sure), retaining a wonderful jet black sheen and in normal daylight comes across as completely unmarked. In fact, even with close scrutiny under a bright light it remains difficult to identify any blemishes...just three tiny and faintest of faint paper scuffs on side 1 but that's it.   Near mint (NM) condition labels - completely unmarked with not even the usual one or two very faint spindle trails. Pristine!  Clearly this record has been very sparingly played.   The non-laminated and textured outer sleeve is in excellent (EX) condition -  the sleeve has still retained it's original polythene seal which has been broken about 1cm from the opening edges and decades of storage has resulted in about 1cm of edge scuffing adjacent to both the top and bottom opening edge corners. There is also some minor intermittent scuffing on the bottom edge including a slightly more obvious 1cm scuff in the middle of that same edge. The only other blemishes are a pin hole towards the middle of both the top and bottom edges and a few very small front opening edge "dinks" - all trivial. All colouration, art work, photos, and text remain vibrant with great definition and clarity.  The quality of the STEREO audio is excellent plus (EX+) - no obvious or rotational clicks (just x2 very low level background clicks on side 1 for which I could find no obvious cause at all); no skips, repeats or jumps and barely any background interference/crackle at all - just the hint of some extremely mild crackle at the very end of each side. So impressive for a record of this age. Wonderful tone and clarity throughout with every track making for a great listen. This remains a terrific rock LP.
A truly impressive condition copy of this 1968 rock gem, and understandable why Blue Cheer's rendition of "Summertime Blues" is considered by many as the first heavy metal track!   POSTAGE COSTS :

For the UK £5 using Royal Mail 1st class signed for ;

for continental Europe £14 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked/signed for,

and for the rest of the world £21 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked/signed for.

I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the sleeve itself  to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
