EU Import. Though this live radio broadcast was recorded several months before their debut release, Suck On This, Primus were nonetheless a full formed band, having played locally, honing their chops, around Bay Area clubs for nearly 5 years. Les Claypool and crew rolled into the studios at Kzsu in Stanford, CA in May of ’89 to perform their unique blend of funk-punk-metal for the college crowd. Featuring mostly tracks from their debut but also the fantastic “Sgt. Baker” which would not be officially released for another two years on their major label debut, Sailing The Seas Of Cheese, this live broadcast captures the band at their raw, early peak.
