Here is an exceptionally rare artifact from the collection of a longtime LA music industry professional: an original 1966 test pressing of the Seeds' self-titled LP (GNP 2023). Like many test pressings of the era, this one uses labels from a different release, pasted upside down with the blank side showing. On this one, the printed side can just barely be deciphered under bright light—"Deep Relaxation," a mid-'60s self-hypnosis record whose labels the pressing plant must have just had laying around. The catalog number is handwritten on each label. This is the mono version; matrix etchings are detailed below. It's in very strong VG condition with a few very light scratches and excellent playback throughout with some occasional crackle and pop. It includes the issued album cover.
