HIGH TIDE - self titled

UK 1st press prog rarity with the gleaming vinyl and impressive stereo sound quality being the real highlights

Year/Label : 1970 UK LIBERTY
Label number : STEREO LBS 83294
Matrix numbers :  LBS 83294 A-2U,  LBS 83294 B-2U
Stampers :   1  R  /  1 G  (earliest)
Gleaming, jet black sheen, and excellent (EX) condition vinyl with the only marks being the occasional small and extremely faint paper scuff and on side 2 a very faint (and purely superficial) 6cm scuff line which is only visible under close inspection when the vinyl is tilted to an angle in a bright light and has no impact upon the brilliant stereo sound quality at all. Each label is excellent (EX) with the only blemishes being just a few faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label, indicating that the vinyl has been sparingly played.  A solid very good (VG) condition Upton Printing Group non-laminated textured outer sleeve with all of the colours, art work, photos and text remaining nicely intact. The sleeve is textured both sides and is renowned for it's fragility - this copy remains very presentable and fully functional but does nonetheless have minor blemishes. Each side has some light handling/shelf wear marks, each edge remains firm but some light, intermittent scuffing is in evidence on each (no seam splits), each corner remains a well defined right angle with absolutely minimal rubbing, the opening edges remain firm with just the hint of a little fraying on the front opening edge, and there is some mild ring wear on each of the front and reverse sides. Nothing nasty, and still very presentable, but the aggregation of the minor blemishes means that I can only grade the overall condition of the outer sleeve as "very good".  Excellent plus (EX+) STEREO audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, clicks, interference, distortion or background crackle. Great tone with crystal clear sound quality throughout and every track a great listen. A different type of prog with flailing guitar riffs and solos being the mainstay of this "under the radar" rock gem. Comes with original plain white inner sleeve with horizontal "PATENT..." and "MADE IN ENGLAND" text with no seam splits, minimal age discolouration and barely any creasing.
Undersold when first released 53 years ago and only now receiving the recognition it deserves - a very nice copy of this rock gem with the gleaming vinyl and truly impressive sound quality being true highlights.
POSTAGE COSTS :

For the UK £4 using Royal Mail tracked 48;

for continental Europe £12 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for,

and for the rest of the world £18 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for.

I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
