From April of 1962, this is Arthur Alexander with Soldiers Of Love b/w Where Have You Been (All My Life). Dot records 45-16357. The record is in good shape overall, showing wear and age but there are no visible scratches or scuffs. It should clean up pretty well. The label is also in pretty good condition, showing some dirt and wear. There is some ink writing of someone's name on the label (barely visible).
What makes this record most interesting, is that John Lennon must have had this record too, and loved it, because The Beatles performed both sides of it in their live repertoire. They recorded Soldiers Of Love for the BBC radio in England during 1963, and were recorded performing Where Have You Been live at the Star Club in Hamburg, Germany in 1962 before becoming international stars. (I certainly hope that's not Lennon's signature on the record. (Hint: it's not).
Anyway, if you enjoy early 60's R&B, or Arthur Alexander, or The Beatles, this record will make a great addition to your collection.
