It's far and away the rarest version of the Melvins 1990 Sympathy For The Record Industry (7") vinyl produced in a edition of only 25 made with this white sleeve and then given only to the members of the band!

I am the original owner of this 45. I did not realize this was so rare until just recently! In the pre-Grunge popularity days I used to go see bands like Green River, Malfunkshun....basically all of the "Deep Six" bands. Mainly in Portland when all those bands played the club Satyricon, but elsewhere sometimes too. So (The) Melvins would have run their own merch table back-in-the-day...and when I saw that this sleeve was the rarest version...a fuzzy memory from back in my drinking days tried to claw it's way to the surface, and suddenly I sorta recall one of the telling me about the sleeve. At the time, it probably didn't really register, because although I really liked them, there was no reason to think that any of these bands would ever become popular! These bands were making music at the time where that seemed to be an impossibility, And certainly the sludgy volume-laden riffs that these bands all spewed, were not seen at the time as commercially viable beyond the underground. So there "Hey, there's only 25 with white sleeves" proclamation didn't really register at the time....but here it is !!

The vinyl is EX, played, but cared for and about

The sleeve is VG+ with a ring-wear crease near the bottom-right corner and a little wear along the top

Both sides are "Side 2" (but with different songs) The RPM speed is listed as the square-root of 2025 !!
