THE NEW JAZZ GROUP - MODERN JAZZ SCENE

Little played, superb condition 1956 UK 1st press 7" EP jazz rarity

Year/Label : 1956 UK tempo Label number : EXA 39 Matrix numbers : VEP-372-1C, VEP373-2C Stampers :  1 BH, 1 BH
Flat, excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl - hard to fault even with close inspection under a bright light and retaining it's original impressive jet black sheen. Clearly this record has been played only very sparingly. Each label is in near perfect condition with just a couple of very small and extremely faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole. The removeable tri-centre is in perfect condition - solidly attached and never having been removed. Excellent (EX) condition and eminently presentable original West Brothers cardboard flipback outer sleeve with no creasing, no edge scuffing, no side splits, perfectly defined right-angled corners, and firm sides - just some mild age "browning" on the reverse side and the merest hint of ring wear towards the opening edge on the reverse side also. Excellent plus (EX+) audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, clicks, distortion or background crackle - great tone and clarity throughout with Dizzy Reece (trumpet), Derek Smith (piano), Sammy Stokes (bass), and Allan Ganley (drums) in great form. Hard to believe that this record is 68 years of age!   A worthy addition to any serious jazz vinyl collection.
POSTAGE COSTS :

For the UK £2 using Royal Mail tracked 48;

for continental Europe £7 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for,

and for the rest of the world £9 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for.

I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 54 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window! My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I will sort out the problem. I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige. There is NO RESERVE on this item. Richard
