M : Mint (but I never use this grade)

NM : Near Mint, Very clean or only a few light marks on the disk but sound is like new without any noise.

VG++ : Any scratches will be light and not affecting play

VG+ : Scratched vinyl, plays well

VG : Used record, scratched vinyl, plays ok

G : Abused!  Dirty label and many scratches on the disk
