Up for grabs an original ORNETTE COLEMAN TRIO "Live at the Golden Circle, Stockholm" 12" vinyl LP set (Vols.1 & 2 complete), 1983 Stereo release on the EMI Manhattan revived Blue Note (BST 84224/225) with the original white/blue 47 West 63rd NYC label, pressed in France, Pathé Marconi lacquer cut, matrix nos. M6 3410 66/67/70/71 2, matte hard cardboard covers with the original press-cuts backside, printed paper inners, Obi promo strip (Vol.1), condition covers: Mint, vinyl/labels: pristine Mint (actual pics shown, zoom over).
Hailed by the Swedish press in analogy with the abstract literature of Samuel Beckett, Izenzon (from Archie Shepp Fire Music) on double-bass fulfills the function of piano hailed as innovator instead of virtuoso, Faces and Places described as "honeycomb of sound", Dee-Dee the trio's career high, vol.2 opening track Coleman alternates sax with trumpet, Morning Song evolves out of Rhapsody in Blue (Gershwin), extended lows to highs described as "the alto rises from the depths of drone" [Brian Morton], "cascade of colour and texture".
BN's last attempt to follow the new-thing (founder Alfred Lion withdrew 1967), deleted revived French press before DMM mastering gimmicks, acoustic sound vinyl proper only, demolished press factory (1990), impossibly rare combined and in such condition.
