FLOYD JONES - On the road again/Skinny mama - J.O.B. 1013 - BLUES 78
Nice one from 'the Doomster' himself -said with due respect for a top bluesman harking back to the Tommy Johnson sound of old. Only Floyd could holler with this force along with the solid punchy support of Sunnyland Slim, Moody Jones and Alfred Wallace. 'On the road' is close to a masterpiece! Chicago 1953. Does not come up that often. You really need this one! 'Road' plays loud and is a solid V+ or better. 'Mama' has a tad more light surface wear so V(+) but still plays well and loud. A good pressing.
