THE BEATLES - WHITE ALBUM

An overall great condition and increasingly rare very 1st UK press copy of this Beatles classic, low numbered and with great MONO audio quality throughout

Year/Label : 1968 UK APPLE Label number : PMC 7067 (disc 1) & PMC 7068 (disc 2) Matrix numbers : XEX 709 - 1, XEX 710 - 1, XEX 711 - 1, XEX 712 -1 Stampers :  5 LD / 3 TH / 3 LL / 4 HT
Very good plus (VG+) condition vinyls -  completely flat and weighty vinyls with some wispy hairlines, very light surface scuffs and equally light paper scuffs on each, all non-feelable and appearing to be surface only though there are a couple of slightly more noticeable (still non-feelable) very small hairlines on "Julia" resulting in x2 very light background clicks. Similarly at the very beginning of side 4 a small cluster of light scuffs but not impinging upon playback at all. A solid "very good plus" for each disc.  Excellent condition labels with some small and very light spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each, all black text upon the dark green Apple background remaining perfectly intact, and the omission of the "An EMI Recording" text on each label - a true indicator of a very 1st pressing. Fully laminated very good plus (VG+) condition original Garrod & Lofthouse fully laminated and top loading outer gatefold sleeve with embossed "The BEATLES" text on the front side and the lowly numbered "No. 0070307". All edges remain firm with no scuffing at all, the spine remains rigid with all spine text totally intact, each corner remains a nicely defined right angle with minimal rubbing (though there is a little scrunching at the bottom right corner accompanied by a very faint light brown stain line - see photo), and the internal vertical side flipbacks remain in great condition. There is a little creasing at the top of the internal spine but all photos and song title text remain perfect. Hard to believe that this gatefold is now 56 years of age! The four photos remain in near perfect condition with no creasing or tears, as is the poster with no seam splits or edge fraying and just a few very small and non-obvious age and handling marks. Overall excellent (EX) MONO audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, or distortion and background crackle is virtually non-existent in fact. There are just a handful of random, very low level and non-intrusive background clicks including the two non-obvious clicks on Julia but such blemishes are very trivial and every single track on this great album makes for great listening. Comes with original black inner sleeves with just a single 3cm side split on one and some mild creasing on both, and each remaining fully functional. I will ship the records in new plain white poly-lined inner sleeves in order to protect the originals.    A very nice condition and low numbered copy of this timeless Beatles classic, with all components remaining impressively intact and every track a great listen.
