The Sensational ALEX HARVEY BAND - FRAMED

A truly impressive condition copy of this UK 1st press prog rarity - one of the more difficult Vertigo swirls to come across - with the sparingly played vinyl and terrific stereo audio quality being true highlights

Year/Label : 1972 UK VERTIGO swirl Label number : 6360 081 Matrix numbers : 6360081 1Y//2 420, 6360081 2Y//2 420  Stampers :  11 2  04  /  11 2  04
Excellent plus (EX+) condition gleaming jet black sheen vinyl - clearly this is a record that has been only sparingly played - it's difficult to find any marks at all, even with close scrutiny under a bright light. I can just about make out a couple of small and extremely faint paper scuffs on each side, but that's it - remarkable for a 53 year old 1st press such as this. Excellent condition labels with just a few small and extremely faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each. The only blemish of note is a name that has been written in biro onto each label (see photos). Non-laminated very good plus (VG+) condition outer gatefold sleeve. All colours, photos, text and art work remain nicely intact and each edge remains firm, but there is some intermittent light scuffing on the bottom edge and spine (though the spine itself remains rigid), and some mild age discolouration/hint of browning adjacent to the spine edges (back and front) and opening edge. There is also a name written in biro at the bottom of the inside left edge. The quality of the stereo audio is again is EXCELLENT PLUS (EX+) - terrific in fact, with no skips, sticks, jumps, repeats, distortion or background crackle. Great tone and clarity throughout with every track a great listen. And no clicking apart from x4 extremely faint clicks at the beginning of A4 (you will need to listen hard to detect) for which very close inspection of the vinyl reveals no obvious cause - I can only assume a tiny speck of dust caught in the grooves through decades of upright storage.  Comes with original poly-lined VERTIGO swirl inner sleeve with no seam splits, barely any creasing, no top edge fraying, just some mild age discolouration towards the top and side edges and some writing in blue biro on the reverse side (see photos). Note that I always ship the record in a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original.    A truly impressive condition copy of this UK 1st press 1972 Vertigo swirl rarity - increasingly sought after and hard to find, especially with 52 year old vinyl in such wonderful and sparingly played condition as this.
