PINK FLOYD - THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON

Hard to find and highly sought after UK very 1st press Floyd classic in overall lovely condition and complete with all posters/stickers and cherished "blue triangle" labels

Year/Label : 1973 UK EMI Harvest Label number : SHVL 804 Matrix numbers : SHVL 804 A - 2,  SHVL 804 B - 2  Stampers :  3 PO  /  1 PH
Very good plus (VG+) condition vinyl -  glossy with nice jet black sheen, completely flat and weighty with some very light scuff lines, paper scuffs, and wispy hairlines on each side - all appearing to be superficial, certainly nothing feelable, and mostly only noticeable with close inspection under a bright light.  Excellent condition labels with some small and very faint spindle trails on each, again only visible with close inspection. The all-important very 1st pressing solid light blue triangle on each label remans in excellent condition.  Non-laminated very good plus (VG+) condition original gatefold sleeve with all edges remaining firm with a few sporadic mild scuff marks/nicks on each though there is 2cm of continuous mild scuffing on the bottom reverse side edge adjacent to the right corner, each corner is a well defined right angle with mild rubbing on each, and all art work and text remains in great order with just the occasional small, very light and non-obvious handling/storage mark. The condition of the interior of the gate fold borders on excellent. And, of course, there is the very 1st press light blue hue throughout - it simply is not a jet black coloured gatefold as with all later issues!   Excellent (EX) stereo sound quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, or distortion and background crackle is virtually non-existent - just the hint of a couple of split second and very, very light background crackles during a couple of the quieter moments...negligible. There is the very occasional light, background click - I noticed one towards the beginning of each side and one towards the end of side 1, and about a minute of very, very light background rotational clicking (you will need to listen hard to notice it) during "Us And Them" but all of this is non-intrusive and does nothing to detract from the overall truly excellent sound quality. Brilliant and, of course, timeless!! The original two posters and stickers (unused) are in wonderful condition with no splits, tears, creasing, or unwanted writing - remarkable! Comes with original "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN" black poly-lined inner sleeve in very good condition overall but with a 12cm split in the middle of the left edge. Note that I always ship the record in a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original.
A very nice copy of the very, very 1st UK pressing of this Floyd prog classic, all complete and containing that cherished and iconic solid blue triangle on each label - king of the crop in any vinyl collection, surely!
