Outstanding original copy of Haley's first major hit which often gave him the title of "Father of Rock 'n Roll." Actually a cover of the Big Joe Turner record of a several months earlier in 1954, the version by Haley and The Comets spent a total of 27 weeks on the Billboard singles chart, peaking at #7. "Shake, Rattle and Roll." as well as the flip side - the interesting "ABC Boogie" - play perfectly. The label on the B-side, however, has several tears but nothing to prevent excellent play. The record comes in a Decca factory sleeve.
