“Youth of America” is pressed on high-quality vinyl at RTI and packaged in a sturdy, old-fashioned tip-on sleeve. The tracks have been mastered from original tapes by Greg Sage himself, and the cover is identical to the original sleeve as issued in 1981.

Simply obliterating any conception of the Wipers as a mere punk band, Greg Sage released this follow-up to “Is This Real?” in 1981—a sophisticated, overwhelming response to the evil times marked by the turn of the decade. Broken up into six long songs, “Youth of America” is a much colder, harrowing experience than the teen angst of their debut. Vocally, Sage comes off as sleep-deprived and forsaken, snarling not only at his own predicament but at the predicament of the entire world.

Our standard packaging procedure for LPs is to remove the record and inner from the sleeve to prevent seam splits to the cover during transit. If the record comes with a printed inner sleeve we will provide a fresh plain white inner for transit to preserve the original printed inner. If you do not want this carried out please tell us in the 'Message to seller' box at checkout. Please be aware that not all records come factory sealed. We package our records in strong mailers with a minimum of 2 corrugated card stiffeners. All records will be supplied in PVC sleeves. We are happy to combine postage. Simply purchase the items that you want and wait for a combined invoice before paying. Proof of postage is obtained for every item. Payment must be made within 48hrs of purchase for single items.
