The condition of each side of
each vinyl is very good (VG) - the vinyls have retained a nice sheen but there are a number of lights scuffs and hairlines on each side; nothing obviously feelable or below the surface but the quality of playback is affected in as much as there are some intermittent light clicks and the occasional passage of light background crackle. No skips or sticks, nothing nasty and nothing to deny the listener a great listen of this timeless classic but not audio perfection either.
Truly excellent (EX) condition labels with the only blemishes being a number of very light spindle trails on each, and with the "K" and "T" tax codes embossed upon the side 3 label.
Very good plus (VG+) condition (bordering on excellent)
original 1st press top loading, laminated gatefold sleeve with firm unscuffed edges, including a rigid spine with all spine text remaining perfectly intact (though some of the laminate on the spine has perished a little, rendering the visibility of some of the spine text a little difficult). Each corner remains an almost perfectly defined right angle with barely any rubbing at all and the internal flipbacks, text, and photos remain in great condition. The front sided text "The BEATLES" remains nicely embossed and the all-important numbering (an incredibly low 0010184) is plain to see. The only other blemishes are some very mild vertical yellowing due to ageing adjacent to the spine, the occasion very small and very light handling/storage mark, and some very, very mild diagonal laminate creasing at the front-side bottom left corner - each barely noticeable and very trivial.
This outer sleeve really does remain in eminently presentable condition. The
four individual Beatle photographs remain in excellent condition with no creasing, discolouration, blue tac residue, or pin holes;
and the lyric/poster is on very good plus condition with a 3cm split at the end of one of the folds (and 0.5cm splits at the beginnings and ends of the other folds) some very slight age discolouration towards the edges, and just the occasional very light and small handling/storage mark.
The original black inner sleeves also remain in very nice and fully functional conditions - just a little very mild creasing and minor fraying on the top edges but no seam splits (except for a 1cm split in the middle of the bottom edge on one of the sleeves), and a nicely retained single-sided die-cut on each.
Very good (VG) MONO audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, or distortion. As already mentioned there is some occasional and very light crackle, and similarly some very light clicking on each side (but not on every track) - but don't let this put you off - not audio perfection but nothing nasty and nothing here to prevent an enjoyable and rewarding listen. Remember, this is one of the very first UK pressings of what is now a 57 year old timeless classic with every single track remaining a great listen!
The extremely low number (0010184), along with the overall impressive condition of each of it's components, makes this a highly sought after copy of this Beatles gem!

I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.
Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 54 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window! My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I will sort out the problem. I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige. There is NO RESERVE on this item. Richard
