Excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl - completely flat, weighty and retaining a wonderful jet black lacquered sheen. It is hard to believe that this vinyl is 52 years of age - I wouldn't go quite so far to say that it is unmarked but the only marks I can detect, even with very close inspection under a bright light, are a few extremely faint paper scuff lines along with a couple of wispiest of wispy small hairlines on each side, each purely superficial. Wonderful!
The labels are excellent plus also with the only blemish being a few very faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label. All label text and the iconic UK 1st press solid blue triangle remain perfectly intact.
Clearly, this is a record that has been only sparingly played.
Excellent (EX) condition Garrod and Lofthouse non-laminated outer sleeve with firm edges, a rigid spine, near perfectly defined right angled corners, all art work, colours, and text remaining in crisp and perfectly defined condition, and the subtle "blue hue" colouring synonymous with UK 1st pressings is in evidence - what a delight! The only blemishes (each very minor) are just the hint of some very mild ring wear towards the top and bottom edges on both the front and reverse sides, some minor intermittent and very sporadic edge scuffing along with a few tiny "nicks" on the top and bottom edges (there is 1-2cm of continuous mild scuffing adjacent to the opening side corners), just a little mild rubbing on each of the corners, and a couple of very light and small handling/storage marks (very non-obvious). What is really impressive is that the gatefold gives off a mild creak when opened, showing how little is has used since it's 1973 manufacture!
Each poster remains in excellent plus (EX+) condition also with no tears, pin holes, blue tac residue, or fold splits; similarly for the
original and completely unused "FasPrint" and "CRACKBACK" stickers - pristine! And finally...
superb excellent plus (EX+) stereo sound quality throughout with no sticks, skips, repeats, clicks, distortion or background crackle. Wonderful tone and crystal clear reproduction with every track timeless and making for a terrific listen. Brilliant!
Comes with
original "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN" poly-lined black inner sleeve, with no edge splits or tears and remaining fully functional, just a little very mild creasing towards the corners.
Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. A wonderfully impressive condition UK 1st press copy of this 1973 Pink Floyd prog classic and so difficult to now come across all components in such impressive excellent plus condition as this - worthy of pride of place in any record collection!
