DESCRIPTION: Timeless 1st Joy Division LP- Unknown Pleasures . In smooth gloss cover and with plain white die-cut inner sleeve. UK pressing. Matices- Inside 2 "STEP" Outside 2- "THIS IS THE WAY" " LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Factory FACT10 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1979 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG+/VG+. Vinyl is clean with a nice sheen. A couple of light hairlines. Played in its entirety today on my Pro-ject Deck. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Sounds Excellent. Music is clear with an occasional tick in an intro. What a great LP as well. Disorder and Shadowplay are just awesome. I saw these live with the Buzzcocks in 1978 or 79 at Newcastle City Hall. But i think this is a band and certainly an LP that sounds even better as time goes on. Cover is firm and square and has only very light edgewear, cornerwear and light to moderate creasing. Light to moderate wear for these covers is comparitively very well preserved!! The black sleeve and the labels are also not covered in grime and fingerprints like many copies. Nice and clean. Spine is fully ledgible and still has reasonable shape. Clean labels. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. Dont ask me to check if its translucent- we dont have any light in Northern England at this time of year! (Okay ill try and have a look at some point but energy saver bulbs are not very bright) PLEASE CHECK OUT MY NEW ORDER/JOY DIVISION AND OTHER POSTPUNK/NEW WAVE LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN TOP QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS.
