This first mastering by Wally Traugott out-classes every subsequent attempt, whether it be on vinyl or CD. Traugott got it 'right' - loud but dynamic, thundering bass tones, screaching upper-mids and spacious guitars, you can hear every layer, unlike the horridly compressed CD remasters which merge them all into one muddled mess. If you own a decent turntable and don't have either a USA first pressing of this album mastered by Wally Traugott (or Nick Webb's equally superb, but sonically slightly different, more refined UK A2/B3 first pressing), you've never really heard how great this album sounds.

DISC: VISUALLY VERY GOOD+ THAT PLAYS EXCELLENT MINUS. NO NOTICEABLE SPINDLE WEAR, SOME LIGHT SCUFFS AND HAIRLINES, ONE LIGHT SCTATCH RIGHT AT THE END OF SIDE A WHICH DIDN'T REALLY SOUND. CLEAN LABELS BOTH SIDES. A SPLENDID BUT NOT QUITE PERFECT PLAYING COPY WITH SUPERB AUDIO.
