The nicest thing you can do for your stylus and your ears. The ultimate record -- the way music was meant to be heard and of superior quality for any Audiophile.

There have been so few vinyl LPs produced over the last 10 years that you should never pass up the opportunity to upgrade your collection. They're each very limited in their pressings and disappear with extraordinary quickness from the vinyl market. This causes prices to skyrocket because once they are gone, they are gone forever! Don't second-guess yourself with this chance to upgrade your collection because before you know it, the opportunity will have passed forever.

Finally, The Traveling Wilburys Collection on vinyl! Includes a previously unreleased version of "Not Alone Anymore."

Nearly 20 years after the creation of the band, and more than a decade since the music was last available to fans, the music of The Traveling Wilburys is at last reissued – and now on LP! The previously released albums Traveling Wilburys Volume 1 and Traveling Wilburys Volume 3 feature inarguably some of music's greatest singer-songwriters – George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty and Bob Dylan – as the iconic band The Traveling Wilburys. This set features vinyl releases of the original two albums with an additional 12-inch featuring bonus tracks. Also included is a collectible album-sized book, plus additional vintage postcards and posters.

TOM PETTY & THE HEARTBREAKERS MOJO 180 GRAM LIMITED EDITION 2LP SET

TAS Rated 4/5 Music, 4/5 Sonics in the October 2010 Issue of The Absolute Sound!

180g Double Vinyl pressed at Pallas in Germany and Mastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Studios!

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' first new album in 8 years!

Some time in their recent past Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers took a left turn. Maybe it was when Petty woke up in the night with the idea of reuniting his first band, Mudcrutch, to cut the album they never got a chance to make back in the early '70s. Maybe it was when the Heartbreakers assembled the mammoth multi-disc The Live Anthology, which detailed thirty years of concerts. Maybe it was when they gave all their home movies, outtakes and live footage to director Peter Bogdanovich to create the Grammy-winning four-hour career documentary Runnin' Down A Dream. There have been side projects and experiments since the band last went into the studio to cut a new Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers album. With MOJO, they have taken their recent freedom and experimentation to heart. They have gone off the reservation and all signs indicate they aren't coming back.

The first thing that hits you about MOJO is that the spirit of the Mudcrutch sessions has carried on with the Heartbreakers. This is the sound of a band playing together in a room - not a studio - facing each other, all singing and playing at the same time. The music is alive, with no overdubs or studio trickery. What you hear is what they created on the spot at that time.

Tom Petty says, "With this album, I want to show other people what I hear with the band. MOJO is where the band lives when it's playing for itself."

As for the songs, MOJO showcases a wide variety of American music from rock ‘n' roll to country and both electric and acoustic blues. And then there are the images in Petty's lyrics which slip in on the melodies and set up a home in your head: The barefoot girl in the high grass chewing on a stick of sugar cane, the run-in with the law that begins when a carload of buddies decide to party with the motel maids, and the hilariously audacious idea of opening an album with an electric blues rocker about Thomas Jefferson's love affair with Sally Hemings. Petty would probably chuck a rock at anyone who called him a poet, but he sure is a southern writer of humor and sensitivity.

MOJO has juice and guts but it also has some sweet balladry for the slow dancers and even a whacked-out reggae number that is unlike anything that Heartbreakers have done before. It's the kind of album nobody's supposed to be able to make anymore. It got here just in time.

"...Mojo is one of the year's great albums... the sonics are downright terrific. Not because the are going to satisfy a list of audiophile criteria, but simply because the recording excellently captures the sound of a well-oiled rock 'n' roll machine playing together at the height of its talents, with a remarkable freedom and passion. The overall balance is right on, and without spotlighting it captures the gorgeously rich characters and textures of these great vintage instruments, and does so with an unusual lack of the BS and manipulation typically heard from commercial rock releases. This one gets my top recommendation." - Wayne Garcia, The Absolute Sound, October 2010, Issue 206

SOUTHERN ACCENTS - This didn't produce as many hits as many of his other albums, but I thought it was nearly as good, although it's more experimental in places. The most famous song is "Don't Come Around Here No More" with its sitars creating a slightly psychedellic angry rocker with a slow beat, that changes to a fast, harder one at the end.

Also, who could forget that weird Alice In Wonderland takeoff video? The more typical, Lynyrd Skynyrd styled, fun southern rocker "Rebels" was a hit that should've been bigger. "Make It Better (Forget About Me)" was an almost New Wave kind of fast, jumpy catchy song that also was a minor hit. The other songs are pretty good too, even if they're not what you'd expect from Tom.

The catchy, mid-tempo pop/rocker "Dogs On The Run" is another song that could've been on one of his earlier albums. Also there's a couple really good ballads here. The soft, emotional title track talks about southern life, and mention's Tom's mother, who died shortly before this album was made "Full Moon Fever" and everything afterwards has more of a middle-aged, less rocking, modern day Bob Dylan sound.

This is right in the middle of those periods. Southern Accents is strangely one of Petty`s best records, but with the least amount of hits coming out. "Southern Accents" is probably one of the most beautiful songs Tom Petty ever has made. It is a lonely and moody piano, expressing the purest thing in the musical world, just a man and his closest friend, his instrument. All the songs on the album has their own style, none are alike, and this makes "Southern Accents" Tom Petty`s most varied album ever. And one of his strongest.

The follow-up to 2010's Mojo is Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers' 13th studio album which was co-produced by Petty, Mike Campbell, and Ryan Ulyate. Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine about the album, Petty responded to comments that the release sounds like his earlier albums 'Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers' from 1976 and 'You're Gonna Get It' from 1978.

"That's what Mike said: 'You sing like you did on the first two albums," said Petty. "Maybe this album does sound like that. But it's that band 30 years later... I knew I wanted to a do a rock and roll record. We hadn't made a straight hard-rockin' record, from beginning to end, in a long time."

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are an American rock band from Gainesville, Florida. Petty and the Heartbreakers were one of the bands on the forefront of the heartland rock movement. The genre eschews the synthesizer-based music and fashion elements popularized in the 1980s. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have sold more than 80 million records worldwide, making them one of the world's best selling bands of all time.

"Ultimately, Hypnotic Eye is a record about the pure joy of sound, a rush that doesn't lessen upon repetition -- a sentiment that's true of those old '60s garage rock singles and early Heartbreakers albums, and this is a surprisingly, satisfyingly vigorous record." -Stephen Thomas Erlewine, allmusic.com

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers You're Gonna Get It LIMITED EDITION LP

Previously Reissued as Record Store Day Release - Now Available on Black Vinyl!

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers' second album, You're Gonna Get It, was released in 1978. Building on the edgy yet always melodic sonic template created on their debut, this album features the hits "Listen To Her Heart" and "I Need To Know" which remain staples in the classic rock songbook.

Like their debut, the second album was recorded at The Shelter Studio in Hollywood, CA. Denny Cordell, Noah Shark and Tom Petty produced the album.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers are true rock 'n' roll legends, with a 25-year run of hit singles, albums, and videos. Remarkably, Petty continues to shape rock's future while paying tribute to artists like the Byrds and the Beatles.

Since their debut album in 1976, the band has sold more than 50 million records and earned a reputation as being among the most successful and exciting touring acts in the business. Between the Heartbreakers' recordings and his solo work, Tom Petty has received 18 Grammy nominations. Honored with lifetime achievement awards including Billboard's Century Award, MTV's Video Vanguard Award, and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Tom Petty, with the Heartbreakers at his side, has achieved the status of legend among his fellow musicians and listeners worldwide.

It was Tom Petty and the Heartbreaks' third release, Damn The Torpedoes, that catapulted Petty and company into the first rank of American rock acts. It's not hard to understand why. With a slate of driving songs destined to become FM staples ("Refugee," "Here Comes My Girl," "Even The Losers," "Don't Do Me Like That"), it's an album that plays much like half a greatest-hits collection. Fusing a rootsy sensibility heavy with Dylan and Byrds affectations with his own pop instincts (honed by early stints with Mudcrutch and Dwight Twilley) and coupling them with one of rock's most consistently underrated powerhouses, the Heartbreakers, Petty's throwback traditionalism oddly found him riding the crest of the new wave in the late '70s

TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS IN THE COLISEUM LIVE RADIO BROADCAST JACKSONVILLE FLORDIA 1987 LIMITED EDITION 2 LP SET - From a gig at the Florida Coliseum in Jacksonville during summer of 1987, this dynamic show finds Tom and the Heartbreakers (Mike Campbell on lead guitar, Benmont Tench on keyboards, Howie Epstein on bass and mandolin, and Stan Lynch on drums) on tour to promote the April '87 release 'Let Me Up ( I've Had Enough)'. This particular show however featured only one cut from the album, Runaway Trains, notably omitting the record's hit single Jammin' Me, a song composed by Petty and Campbell with Bob Dylan. The band were in playful mood however and performed a total of five rousing cover versions and a number of old favourites to compliment the one new song. Petty would neither tour nor record with the Heartbreakers again for another four years, in the meantime he became a founding member of the supergroup The Travelling Wilburys following which he recorded and released his first solo album before reuniting with the group in 1991

Mudcrutch - TWO 180 GRAM LP SET WITH CD ORIGINAL RELEASE - was formed in 1970 after Tom Petty's first band, The Sundowners changed its name to The Epics; which then became Mudcrutch. Mudcrutch's lineup consisted of Petty (bass and vocals), Tom Leadon (guitar and vocals), Randall Marsh (drums) and Mike Campbell (guitar). Leadon left the band in 1972 and was replaced by guitarist/vocalist Danny Roberts. Keyboardist Benmont Tench also joined the band. Much like The Beatles at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, Mudcrutch served as the house band at Dub's Diner in its hometown of Gainesville, Florida.

In 1974, Mudcrutch signed with Shelter Records and re-located to Los Angeles, California. The band released one single, "Depot Street," in 1975, which failed to chart. The band broke up later that year. Petty, Campbell, and Tench went on to form the Heartbreakers in 1976 with fellow Gainesville natives Stan Lynch and Ron Blair.

2008 The Return! In August 2007, the original members of Mudcrutch reunited and recorded an album for release in 2008. The Self-Titled Mudcrutch contains 14 old and new tracks. "We would play and then we would just talk about the old days," says Tom Leadon, who left the band in 1972.

Tom Petty's side project Mudcrutch is now available in a special audiophile CD/180g LP package. Mudcrutch engineer Ryan Ulyate says he and the musicians felt they had to compromise on the mass-market CD (released on April 29, 2008). That's because, in general, most popular music CDs are mixed to sound louder for use in cars and for conversion into MP3s. "That makes it really unsatisfying to listen to," Ulyate says. "We have this loudness war that has destroyed the way CDs sound, and we're trying to find a way to get off this spiral."

The original studio recording "has life and dynamics," Ulyate says, "but we are the only people getting to hear that now." He says the audiophile CD is "hands-down better" than the current CD for listening at home!

The included bonus Audiophile CD is made from the same uncompressed stereo masters as the vinyl pressing. It reproduces the music's full dynamic range, so the quiet parts are quieter and the loud parts are louder - just as they were performed. To achieve full dynamic range it's necessary to master with less overall level, so the Audiophile CD may not sound as "loud" as the standard CD or download. To compensate for this, put it on a high quality system and turn it up!

"The superb-sounding LP set comes with a "full-dynamic range" disc. Each boasts terrific depth, outstanding presence, and vivid immediacy, though the vinyl is slightly airier, fuller, and cozier. Demonstration quality all 'round." - Bob Gendron, The Absolute Sound, November 2008, Issue 186
