DESCRIPTION: Black Sabbath LP- Vol 4. 1st Uk pressing with small swirl label and no "made in England" beneath 1972 on top RHS gatefold . With Vertigo swirl inner and gatefold sleeve with booklet atttached. 1Y1/2Y1 matrix.. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: VERTIGO 6360071 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1972 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG/VG. Vinyl is clean with a nice sheen and a few hairlines . Played majority of both sides of this today on my budget deck at a decent volume. My decent deck needs repairing. Sits flat on the turntable. Music sounds pretty near EX. Pretty much clear and loud. Cover retains decent shape. Cover is a nice matt black. It is firm and square and has only light edgewear, light to moderate cornerwear and light creasing. It has what looks like a small circular sticker removal mark discretely blacked in to front. The booklet has clipped edges (see photo 10) which makes me think it has been hung on a wall then put back into gatefold. Without the clipped edges there would be little sign it had been taken off. Clean classic swirl labels. Swirl inner bag has one "nibbled" corner but otherwise is inn nice shape. Poly is intact and it has no rips or edgesplits. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears throughout. Please note that when this is packed (with gatefold/booklet/swirl and replacement inner) it weighs over 500gm so overseas postage is in higher weight category. Sleeve has been kept in a PVC double sleeve- just let me know if you want that sending as well. Nice sounding and looking copy. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER SABBATH and CLASSIC/HARD ROCK LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of surface sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS.
