"Avant garde poetry LP on Portent Records documenting an April 7th, 1966 "benefit reading for the New York Workshop in Nonviolence at St. Mark's Church in the Bouwerie," with an amazing lineup of poets from the beat, Black Mountain, language and Fluxus movements. This is the earliest appearance on vinyl of the legendary Fluxus poet Jackson MacLow; also includes The Fugs founder Ed Sanders' "Peace Freak Poem", Schwerner's reading from his famous Tablets, and the opening gem by Ginsberg reading his "Auto Poesy to Nebraska." The album was recorded and edited by beat poetry scholar Ann Charters, and the front cover photo is credited to her along with the liner notes."
