How Come Your So Dumb/Rich Kid Blues

Produced, keyboards, drums, guitars and bass: Roger Taylor.

"How Come You’re So Dumb" Written by Roger Taylor/Hilary Vance. "Rich Kid Blues" Written by Reid. Recorded and produced 1979 at Mountain Studios, Montreux, during Queen "Game" Sessions.

Hilary Vance was related to BBC Radio One DJ - Tommy Vance

"How Come You're So Dumb" was a single where Roger did almost everything: he wrote it, played guitar, drums, bass, keyboards and produced it. He also co-wrote music and words to this song with Hilary Vance. The B-side was a song called "Rich Kid Blues", which is credited to Reid. The B-side was also played by and produced by Roger. The single was released as 7" back in 1980 on Mainly Modern Records. This song seems to sound a bit like from "Fun In Space".  Roger knew Hilary before (she was related to Tommy Vance, British radio DJ) but he didn't know she was a singer until an old friend told him: he then asked Hilary for a tape and he didn't like the record but he really liked her voice so he decided to record a single. The recording sessions took place in Mountain Studios, Switzerland in June 1979.
