Released in 1970 on the first press red with large white E ELEKTRA label, I am offering today this original 1970 first UK pressing of this superb double live album by THE DOORS titled "ABSOLUTELY LIVE". This is a rare first pressing which was on sale for a few months before being changed to the common butterfly issue with a different catalogue number.

The album was produced by Paul A Rothchild and comes complete with its original stickered MacNeill printed matt gatefold sleeve which is a transitional issue with a different catalogue number to the vinyls. This sleeve is in very good condition, it has no splits or tears or unwanted writing etc but there is a wear to the edges otherwise it is cleaner than most you will see these days.

I have just played this through for these listing purposes and it plays through well, there is the odd crackle but overall it is an excellent player, Needless to say absolutely no sticks or skips etc.

SO RARE AS A UK FIRST PRESSING.

 

   

 

The VINYL, The Vinyl visually & audibly is in solid excellent condition. I have just played it through and can state that the album plays nicely with absolutely no nasty sticks or skips etc. 

The SLEEVE, The MacNeill gatefold sleeve which has a Kinney sticker on the back panel is in very good condition. No splits or tears or unwanted writing etc but there is some shelf wear and general wear but still a very presentable example.   

The LABELS, The red original first issue Elektra labels are show minimal spindle traces. Needless to say they are free from unwanted writing or stickers etc.

The INNERS, The original generic white inner sleeves are both clean and free from unwanted writing etc but one of them has lost its poly lining.

 

I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
