When i first saw this LP I thought it must be a repress due to the condition. The cover had been kept in a poly sleeve in a poly sleeve so it was hardly ever handled. Its quite simply far and away the best looking and sounding copy of this I have ever seen. Whats more its the earliest pressing with lowest possible UK matrix. Four things stand out to me about this copy. Firstly, the pinched in effect to spine ends is actually noticable. Secondly, the absolute cleanliness of the sleeve. Thirdly the complete lack of wear and feathering to the top edge and zip area- see photos 8 and 9, the top edge/zip area lies completely level and flat. Finally it has the cleanest sound I have come across on both sides. Side 1 usually plays clean but side 2 is much more testing . Played through in its entirety at a decent volume there is simply no interference with the sound on my equipment. Postage cost quoted includes insurance.
DESCRIPTION: Rolling Stones- Sticky Fingers. 1st UK press with A3/B3 matrix, zip cover with "pinched in" ends to spine (see final photo- Its the only copy I have had where this is still clearly visible ), insert and correct white inner.
LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Roling Stones COC 59100
YEAR OF RELEASE: 1971
COUNTRY OF MANUFACTURE: UK
CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): EX+/EX+. Vinyl is super clean with a great sheen. Light plays only. Played in its entirety on my budget deck. Sits flat on the turntable. Sounds pretty much flawless. Superb audio! Music is clear, clean and loud. Silence between tracks and the likes of "Wild Horses" and "Sister morphine" play without any background sound that I can detect. Zip cover is the best I have seen for this LP. It is super clean and whte free from handling marks. It is super firm and square and has less than light edgewear, minimal cornerwear and minimal creasing. It has one light crease near top left hand side edge but this looks due to the "pinched" iin spine effect. Insert is better than EX. Original white inner has very light foxing spots only. Clean labels. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER CLASSIC/HARD ROCK LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of background sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS. I ALWAYS COMBINE POSTAGE BUT COST DEPENDS ENTIRELY ON WEIGHT OF PACKAGE.
