A very special acid house flavoured remix of Lonerism’s opening track by renowned producer/artist Erol Alkan.

Original track features on Lonerism: NME’s #1 album of 2012, rated 9.0/Best New Music by Pitchfork and recently voted the defining album of 2012 by MOJO readers, and certified silver in the UK.

Its release caps off a year that saw the band headline a sold-out Hammersmith Apollo,  Radio 1 playlisted and televised from Glastonbury + Reading festivals.

After his epic elongation of Why Won't You Make Up Your Mind, one of the deeper cuts on their debut record Innerspeaker, influential London producer, DJ and label head Erol Alkan again pulls Tame Impala apart, this time stretching at the seams and turning the acid up to eleven on Be Above It, the opening track of their acclaimed 2nd album Lonerism.

The original Be Above It already dabbles in techno-like repetition, albeit with mostly live loops, and Alkan takes this approach to it's logical conclusion, adding those magic numbers 303 and 909 and in turn raising the roof to previously unfathomable jacking heights.

The Erol Alkan Rework of Be Above It has been a dependable staple in Alkan's festival sets this year.
