BEATLEMANIACS! We've purchased a HUGE BEATLES COLLECTION (nearly a THOUSAND items!), and we'll be listing Fab Four collectibles as fast as time allows...so add us to your favorite sellers list, and keep an eye on our buy-it-now bargains and rare auction finds! Here's today's GEAR listing:
1) JOHN LENNON: (JUST LIKE) STARTING OVER/WATCHING THE WHEELS (Capitol #58894 CEMA Special Markets limited pressing on BLUE vinyl, 2000); and
2) JOHN LENNON AND YOKO ONO: WOMAN/WALKING ON THIN ICE (Capitol #58983 CEMA Special Markets limited pressing on CLEAR vinyl, 2000):
BOTH ARE UNPLAYED MINT GEMS!
These two colored vinyl John Lennon 45s, issued on Capitol's "For Jukeboxes Only" (but they play on any turntable) CEMA Special Markets label, are among the rarest in the entire series. We'd offer an educated guess that as few as 10,000 were issued of each single (has anybody managed to get Capitol to issue pressing totals for this important series? If so, please contact us!). Marketed for use by juke-jobbers just as 45s were being replaced by CDs; weak demand from jukebox operators kept CEMA pressing numbers low. Capitol added 30 Beatles 45s on colored vinyl to this catalog in 1994-1996. The entire CEMA Beatles series is one of the scarcest Liverpudlian Lads 45RPM pressings ever, and even at current escalating prices, it's a primo Beatles investment. (That's a word from our sponsor...we've got the entire set for sale elsewhere in our store).
Here's two of the three Lennon solos in the series (the third is his CEMA green vinyl Happy Xmas). The song pairings of John's hits on these two singles were not issued on 45 before; he had the rough mix cassettes of Walking On Thin Ice in his hand when he was senselessly murdered by that creep.
After collecting and selling thousands of these CEMA series 45s for most of the last two decades, we can report that these two Lennons are among the toughest to find (as are the two promos, Paul's Maybe I'm Amazed and George's My Sweet Lord 2000, another pair we also offer). Bargain-priced!
Both are super-scarce CEMA limited-pressing colored vinyl 45s, among the rarest in the entire series!
One pair only...don't miss 'em!
COMBINED SHIPPING DISCOUNT: $3.99 sends these singles with delivery confirmation; 50 cents ships each additional 45.
