This is an original FIRST UK Stereo pressing of The Beatles 1968 classic self titled album - also known as The White Album.
Original 'Top Loading' sleeve with numbered sleeve - Number is 7 digits 'No. 0341389'. Black Inner Sleeves are here but note there are NO Photos or Poster with this one
Also note this is the rarer very wide spine version of the sleeve
On Apple Records ref PCS 7067-8 Matrices are : Side 1 : YEX 709-1 stampers are AH (at 3 o clock) and 4 (at 8 o clock) Side 2 : YEX 710-1 stampers are CAT (at 6 o clock) and 3 (at 9 o clock) Side 3 : YEX 711-1 stampers are GA0 (at 3 o clock) and 4 ( at 9 o clock) Side 4 : YEX 712-1 stampers are MG (at 2 o clock) and 1 (at 8 o clock)
Sleeve: This is a VG- (see grading criteria below) - being the white album theres a little discolouring and a small amount of ringwear. Emossed 'The Beatles' is very clear as is the 7 digit number (0341389). Spine is VERY wide, a good centimetre, by far the widest spine Ive seen on a copy of the white album. Is squared and nicely readable though does have some wear to the edges of it. Bottom spines are in good shape as are the right hand spines. The top opening is rip free, small amount of wear but nothing to worry about. Some very light creasing here and there, just a few short hairlines to the front, the rear has a few more but very light. Inside gatefold has yellowed slightly in places - please see photos FULLY Laminated - inside and out Printed in Gt Britain by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd
Inner Sleeves:
Both original Black sleeves with one sided centre hole. Bother slightly creased though No side or bottom seam splits on either. Theres are a few short nicks at the top of one of them, this one also has a couple of slight tears to the centre hole. The other is fine. Both have the 'wavy cut' top as per original pressing VG and VG+ respectively
Record 1: This is a Good/VG - I have played the whole album and there are no jumps/skips anywhere - the audio is particularly loud and nice though this does have surface marks and signs of wear. There will be some crackle and a few clicks here and there. Labels are clean, free from writing and clear - a little spindle wear but otherwise great
Record 2: This is again Good/VG - Again played right through with no jumps/skips anywhere and again great loud audio. Again some crackle and a few clicks here and there. This ones slightly better than record 1
As I say above - Posters and Photos are sadly missing so not complete....but ...this is a FIRST pressing top loading White album when all is said and done.
The tracks you all know so I wont insult you by listing them - except to say Rocky Raccoon is spelt correctly on this version.
Questions welcome :)

I use the Record Collector Grading Criteria which is as follows: Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be Mint. Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing. Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
