Responsive Jarilo Template   Our Shop Shop Categories Description Géori Boué & Roger Bourdin – Monsieur de la Paisse, c1950 78 rpm Picture Disc Record Saturn D-602. This is a good example of one of the scarce 10” 78 rpm picture disc records that were made in England by Saturn Records in around 1950 or so. This one contains two tracks sung in French by Mm Géori Boué and Mr Roger Bourdin of the Paris Opera. One side shows the singers and the other shows a colourful scene that I assume is from a well-known painting as I have seen the same image on another one of the Saturn records in the past. The record has some light crackle / hiss on both sides but visually it grades as just about EX. Because of the manufacturing process – which means that the picture is effectively laminated by the plastic surface of the record – it is not brittle / breakable like shellac records of the day.

The record will be well-wrapped / packed. I have sent many 78s through the mail over the last few years without a single accident.

It is impossible to be an expert in all realms of collecting, and I am honestly representing this item to the best of my knowledge and ability. If the item has a fault then I have mentioned it. I ask that you read the description and examine the photos carefully. I also encourage you to ask any questions you may have during the auction to help clarify identification or condition, as I may inadvertently omit information that you as a collector feel is important.     

I never use reproduction company covers - only genuine / vintage ones.  As such - these may not be original to the record and only rarely will they be stunning, as - usually - they are between 40-60 years old.   They may have writing or stickers on them, but will grade at least VG and upwards.    And just occasionally - they are perfect!    If by chance this is important to you - please ask about the specific sleeve pictured.      Where I am not able to provide an original cover I use brand new plain paper covers.     

I am not able to provide scans of paper items and I have no facility to record / copy any records.

TRACKING NUMBER.    If an item sells for more than £40, (or for a package that has a total value of more than £40) it will need to be sent with a Tracking Number - the Royal Mail's International Tracked service.  This costs an additional £5 and that price will be added so that both you - the Buyer - and myself are covered under the buyer protection policy.
