Up for auction is a copy of The Beatles’ White Album. Released in 1968 on Parlophone, cat no P-PCS 7067-8. This is an incredibly rare export copy, pressed up in the UK with Parlophone –rather than Apple- labels, for distribution where the Apple logo had not yet been registered. Most of them ended up in Portugal, I understand.
Condition: clearly a much-used LP. Side 1 has some surface marks, but nothing too serious. Side 2 has more surface marks and some pretty severe damage from Don’t Pass Me By to I Will, but again plays through with noise, but no jumps/sticks. Sides 3 & 4 are better, but still quite marked. Toploading cover has some general wear and some laminate splitting on the spine, but has no serious damage. Copy number 522127. No poster, quite tatty inners, and only two photos (Ringo & Paul). F/VG-/VG/VG+ (LP1/LP2/cover/inserts where present). However, the labels are all problem-free (no writing, stickers, tears etc, only a few spindle trails). If you're looking for a mint (or even a VG) copy of the White Album, this is not for you. But if you want one of the rarest Beatles UK LPs at an affordable price, now's your chance.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item in pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence! Any questions? Need any more photos or an audio sample? I'm only an email away.
Payment: UK- cheques (preferred) or Paypal. Rest Of World- Paypal. Email for other accepted methods of payment. Shipping: £4 (UK 1st class), £5 (UK recorded) £9 (Europe) £14 (rest of world-airmail). Insurance recommended for orders over £25; I am not responsible for parcels that go missing in the post!
