The 1967  season was the 67th season in the franchise's  history. The Red Sox finished first in the  (AL) with a record of 92 wins and 70 losses. The season had one of the most memorable finishes in baseball history, as the AL pennant race went to the very last game, with the Red Sox beating out the  and  by one game. Often referred to as The Impossible Dream, this was the team's first winning season since , as the Red Sox shocked all of  and the rest of the baseball world by reaching the  for the first time since . The Red Sox faced the National League champion  in the , which the Cardinals won in seven games.
