This is a CEMA Special Markets "FOR JUKEBOXES ONLY" release which will play on any 45RPM record player...

The CEMA colored vinyl Beatles singles are rare indeed, and error 45s like this Can't Buy Me Love record are super-rare and desirable.  This one has an off-center label on the B-side; the center hole intrudes on the You Can't Do That title, and the top of the label (above the Capitol logo) just barely clears the inner groove.

The original 1964 single proved The Beatles weren't one-hit wonders when it topped the U.S. Hot 100 in the mad Spring of '64.  Pressed on brilliant GREEN vinyl with its jukebox title strip. All the CEMA Special Markets 45s are escalating in value: 

The Capitol colored vinyl 45s are the rarest stock-copy Beatles singles ever released in the U.S.; there were between 10,000 and 22,000 copies pressed of each "FOR JUKEBOXES ONLY!" 45.  This was a sign of the times; by the mid-nineties the era of the 45RPM record seemed to be over.  Juke-jobbers, for whom the series was created, had already moved to CD jukeboxes.  They didn't want the records, so Capitol sold them to chain stores and mail-order companies just to get rid of them.  The rarity of the 30 colored vinyl Beatles 45s is impressive compared to the countless millions of '60s orange-and-yellow swirls and the immense flood of orange, blue, and purple-label reissues of the '70s and '80s.  The entire series includes ten singles that had never before appeared as U.S. 45s, and two others with alternate flip sides.  It's been over 20 years since Capitol released this beautiful record, and its rapidly-increasing value reflects its rarity...
