The Killers are an American  band formed in , , in 2001 by members  (lead vocals, keyboards, bass) and  (guitar, backing vocals).  (bass, guitar, backing vocals) and  (drums, percussion) would complete the current line-up of the band in 2002. The band's name is derived from a logo on the bass drum of a fictitious band, portrayed in the music video for the  song "".

The band has released four chart topping studio albums:  (2004),  (2006),  (2008) and  (2012). They have also released a B-sides and rarities ,  (2007); a live album,  (2009); a greatest hits album  (2013); and a Christmas compilation  (2016).
