1964 Original Mono Press 3rd Variant.

Gatefold sleeve with poly lined inner sleeve.

One of the first albums to have a gatefold sleeve and the opening is on the inner gatefold which also has flip backs.

Front laminated sleeve.

Yellow & black Parlophone labels.

Sold in U.K. text on labels.

Made in Gt. Britain text on labels.

KT stamp centre label.

4N matrix’s signifying 3rd variant.

1964 Parlophone PMC 1240 Mono

Matrix A: XEX 503 - 4N with a 3 & 8 stamper at 10 o’clock & L D stampers at 4 o’clock.

Matrix B: XEX 504 - 4N with a 2 & 3 stamper at 10 o’clock & L R stampers at 2 o’clock.

Vinyl still has some sheen & plays through with no skips, sticks or jumps. Light background noise but 1960’s early Mono Press generally shines through. Lots of light hairlines & light surface scratches under the lamp, some more visible than others. One lightly feel able on side A over tracks 4 & 5. Labels have no stickers or writing, light spindle wear to the centres. Company poly lined inner sleeve with no splits, small tear near centre on one side, some yellowing & creasing. Outer front laminated gatefold sleeve has no stickers or writing. Scuff to title on spine, scuffs to the corners, small tear to top and bottom of spine opening, laminate creases, small tear to rear of sleeve corner, ring wear & light marks.

Not a minter but still a very serviceable LP all the same with generally strong audio throughout.

All records are properly play tested through headphones unless otherwise stated or still sealed.. All vinyl is inspected under a bright halogen lamp.. I use the standard UK record collector grading system appreciating that opinions differ. I never add more than one + or - to my gradings and never grade a record as M unless its new or sealed.

Vinyl graded first then outer / inner sleeves etc. Vinyl always separated from sleeve in transit. Comes in new PVC protective sleeve with new anti static inner when inner sleeve is printed or a new one is required. Posted with stiffener in sturdy vinyl mailer always signed for, insured and proof of postage always retained. Any international postage is also always signed for, tracked and with healthy insurance.

Vinyl can be combined,, up to 3 thin or 2 wide spine per mailer. Spine size generally stated in listing and I always provide new mailers / packing material etc. If you wish to combine please mail me to state your intentions thank you.
