DESCRIPTION: Deep Purple - In Rock LP. True 1st UK pressing with No EMI and Gramophone text to labels, super scarce A1/B1 matrix, gatefold sleeve and original Harvest Inner. I have only ever seen one copy of this with the A1/B1 matrix previously and I constantly look for them now . I bought this off a record dealer at a record fair who had no idea what it was. I did not know they existed until i found one by accident a few years ago. Overall this is a very good looking and decent sounding copy of a genuinely rare record. You could buy it or you could wait a few years for another genuine copy to surface. Postage cost includes insurance, tracking and a box/cruciform mailer. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Harvest SHVL 777. YEAR OF RELEASE: 1970. COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK: CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): G+/EX. Vinyl is clean with a decent sheen, a lot of very light brushing lines and some hairlines. Played all of this tonight on my budget deck. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Side one plays around VG. Music is clear and loud with ticks in between some tracks and in the quieter passages. Music remains prominent throughout and it plays through fine, no jumps or sticks. "Child In Time" is usually a good test and this is very listenable. Side two plays through great, nearer to EX with just a trickle of background sound between the tracks. Cover is in really nice clean shape, a very decent EX. It is firm and square, retains great shape and has minimal edge wear, minimal corner wear and less than light creasing. Original Harvest inner sleeve is in great condition. It is very clean and white with minimal wear and no splits. The previous owner removed the poly but I have kept it in a separate new white inner since i got it. Clean labels- please check out the photos. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER YES/ PROGRESSIVE/METAL/CLASSIC/HARD ROCK LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of background sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS. I ALWAYS COMBINE POSTAGE BUT COST DEPENDS ENTIRELY ON WEIGHT OF PACKAGE. EACH EXTRA SINGLE DISC LP IS ROUGHLY £1.75 TO EUROPE, £2.75 TO THE AMERICAS AND £3.25 TO THE REST OF THE WORLD.
