I finally found a couple of boxes of notable LPs I knew I had but couldn’t find…until last week. Here’s an LP from one of those boxes.

If you’re a Trekkie, here are a couple of LPs that maybe you’ve been looking for for yourself or for that favorite Trekkie you know!

In this auction:

LP #1:

·       “LEONARD NIMOY PRESENTS MR. SPOCK’S MUSIC FROM OUTER SPACE” LP from Leonard Nimoy

·       This is Dot Records DLP 25794.

·       This LP was released in 1967.

·       It is the ORIGINAL STEREO PRESSING.

·       What makes this LP special is the fact that it has a beautiful front cover image of Leonard Nimoy in his most notable role as Mr. Spock holding a model of the Starship Enterprise and a beautiful rear cover image of Leonard Nimoy as himself.

·       This LP has 11 space-themed cuts beginning Side 1 with the “THEME FROM STAR TREK”.

·       This LP was released after the original STAR TREK series made its debut on nationwide TV in 1966.

·       The COVER is in VERY STRONG VG+ CONDITION. Only light wear on the corners and opening keep me from grading the cover Near Mint.

Clearly, there are NO seam splits, NO tears, NO writing, and NO ring wear on this cover.

·       The VINYL is also in VERY STRONG VG+ CONDITION with a few very light /slight surface hairlines/scuffs. There’s very minimal wear on the vinyl.

This copy of this STAR TREK-RELATED LP is in UNCOMMONLY NICE CONDITION and should become a part of YOUR vinyl or Star Trek collection!!!

LP #2:

·       “TWO SIDES OF LEONARD NIMOY” LP.

·       This is Dot Records DLP 25835.

·       This LP was released in early 1968.

·       It is a MONO (monaural) PRESSING.

·       What makes this LP special is the fact that it has a nice front cover with profiles of Leonard Nimoy in his most notable role as Mr. Spock of Star Trek fame and Leonard Nimoy as himself.

·       This LP has 13 cuts. Some of them space-related (ie: “Follow Your Star”), some of them Spock-related (ie: “Highly Illogical”, “Spock Thoughts”), and others traditional pop-related (ie: ”Gentle On My Mind”, “If I Were A Carpenter”).

·       This LP was released after the original STAR TREK series made its debut on nationwide TV in 1966.

The COVER is in STRONG VG to VG+ CONDITION. It has light to moderate overall wear primarily on the corners. There are some scuffs on the front cover and some cracking on the spine (with no paper loss). The rear cover image is quite nice with very minimal wear as you can see in the image. There are NO seam splits, NO tears, NO writing, and NO ring wear on this cover.

·       The VINYL is in STRONG VG to WEAK VG+ CONDITION with some  light /slight surface hairlines/scuffs (none are “feel-able”.)

·       This LP comes with its ORIGINAL DOT RECORDS INNER PAPER SLEEVE that even pictures “MR. SPOCK’S MUSIC FROM OUTER SPACE”, the first LP also included in this auction.

A NICE PAIR of LEONARD NIMOY as MR. SPOCK LPs for someone’s vinyl or Star Trek collection!
