Up for auction is a copy of The Velvet Underground And Nico, released in 1967 on Verve, cat no V6-5008. This is a US stereo pressing with airbrushed torso-less coverand peeled banana. I think it’s an East Coast pressing, but am not 100% sure. Either way it’s guaranteed an original 1960s copy. Produced by Tom Wilson & Andy Warhol.
Condition: vinyl has many marks; some big, some small, some feelable, someaudible. Given its appearance, the album actually sounds surprisingly good, and everything plays through without jumps/sticks at 1.5g tracking on my turntable. The cover is better, with a little wear, particularly noticeable on the black areas on the rear, and 3”of split on the upper seam. It’s not too bad though; if this had the banana, it would be a decent example. However, it doesn’t, so G/VG (vinyl/cover).

My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence! Anyquestions? Need any more photos or an audio sample? I'm only an email away.
