In this auction are SEVEN 45RPM Apple Records issued by Capitol Records’ Los Angeles Pressing Plant which is indicated by the BLACK STAR on the A-side label.
According to the Price Guide for the Beatles American Records by Perry Cox and Frank Daniels (page 22), Apple labels with black stars on the full-Apple side of the labels was used on new releases beginning in 1970. It was not on reissues of pre-Apple material until May, 1971. This label style with a black star was ONLY printed for singles pressed in Capitol’s Los Angeles plant and is harder to find than the more common Apple singles without the black star.

RECORD #3:
· “BABY, YOU’RE A RICH MAN” b/w “ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE” by The Beatles
· This is Apple Records 5964.
· It was originally released by Capitol Records July, 1967. This Apple Records pressing was issued Spring, 1971.
· The VINYL itself is in STRONG VG+ CONDITION. However, due to a sticker stain and a couple of tiny tears on the sliced-Apple label, the grade is lowered to VG MINUS. “MFD. BY APPLE RECORDS, INC.” is printed on the perimeter of the sliced-Apple label.
· An Apple Records stock sleeve is included that is in VG Condition.
