HOT BUTTERED SOUL - This stunning 1968 release originally from Stax Records from respected soul songwriter Isaac Hayes catapulted him to fame with a musical style like no other than combined soul, jazz and rock.

With only four songs, this disc was both an R & B smash hit and an FM rock radio staple. It yielded two Top 40 hits ‘ -Walk On By and By The Time I Get To Phoenix.

The other two tracks are One Woman and Hyperbolicsyllabiscsesquedalymistic with the Rhythm Section on all songs featuring the Bar-Kays.
